Fruitvale Station is a one-man movie and when that one man is as great as Michael B Jordan's career-high performance then there's no horizon of a complaint. Based on a heartbreaking and exceptionally sad and real story the movie is a visit down the lane of a well documented and publicized event. Presented vividly and remarkably; you can not nail a true event any better with movie-making than this one. Disclaimer this movie is disturbing and will make your heart cry.
Highs: Acting by the entire cast is extraordinary. The script is tremendously sound and holds on its own to follow the true events. An incredibly powerful movie that not only creates one unforgettable moment after another but also educates you about life itself.
Lows: Story and characters have one dimension to it which can feel partial.
