Based on a true story about quote theft 'Can you ever forgive me?' is as eccentric and unrepeatable as a movie has been for a long time. If you appreciate good acting Melissa McCarthy along with Richard Grant are going to blow your mind away. Filled with quirky and unconventionally entertaining bits; the film occasionally trip over on the stride of the plot but that's looking for small flubs.
Highs: Extraordinary performance by the lead. A praiseworthy script that delivers significant moments. Classy comedy scenes that also produces satire and heartwarming emotions.
Lows: Pacing suffers for some brief moments and screenplay feels weak through the middle to keep the 100% required attention.
