By the year 2020, the concept of Aliens arriving on mother earth and wreaking some sort of havoc feels like a feeling of Dejavu. Especially for sci-fi movie lovers. Arrival manages to play with that feeling and produce something remarkable with it. The movie is carried solely on the capable shoulders of Amy Adams and she does such an unbelievable job that you would want to give her a standing ovation by the time credits roll.
Highs: A fascinating and adventure poking story, fantastic writing, and use of animation and technology. Innovative ideas manage to make a possibly stale concept a breath of fresh air.
Lows: More dependent on the lead actor to make the movie great than it should. Under usage of the highly talented side cast.
