The Way Back

A movie that nails the basics is always a good one. The Way Back is exactly that. Script is emotionally powerful and well built. Wonderfully acted by the entire cast and a very realistic feeling script that keeps things subtle and never wants to do too much. Ambience is very approachable yet very much appealing. However the film lacks ambition and don't become anything more than just a decent film.

Highs: A connectable story that keeps you hooked. Always maintains the standard to keep up with your craving.. Some scenes have strong emotional pull and supporting characters are written with accuracy and depth.

Lows: Certain scenes feels like the movie is not doing justice to the caliber of the plot. Dialogues lacks the x-factor.
